Blueberry Sauce

 

 

 

2 cups blueberries                                             

¼ teaspoon salt                                              

½ cup sugar                                                  

1 Tablespoon lemon juice                                        

½ teaspoon vanilla extract                                   

 

Wash and crush blueberries.  Add sugar, lemon juice and salt.  Mix well.  Place in a saucepan and bring to boiling point.  Boil for 1 minute; add vanilla.  Chill in refrigerator.  Serve over puddings, cakes or ice cream.  Makes 1 1/2 cups.
