Homemade Pizza

 

Serves: 16

 

 

2 cups water                                                   

2 teaspoons olive oil                                          

6 cups flour                                                   

2 packages yeast                                               

2 tablespoons sugar                                            

1 teaspoon of salt                                                

½ cup eggbeaters                                            

8 ounces mozzarella cheese                                     

 

Combine water and oil and place in microwave for 2 minutes to achieve a temperature of 130º.

 

Combine 4 cups flour with other dry ingredients.  Slowly add water while mixing.  Add egg substitute and remaining flour.  Mix/knead until dough springs back when pressed.

 

Let set (covered) for 15 minutes.

 

Roll out to fit into two large pizza pans; cover and let set for 10 minutes.

 

Cover pizza with your favorite toppings.

 

Bake in preheated 500º oven for 13 minutes.  Remove from pan and place on grid for additional 2 - 3 minutes to crisp bottom.  Watch it so it does not burn! 

 

On the grill:

 

Put pizza (without any toppings) on top of grill for 4-5 minutes.  Flip dough over and add toppings.  Return to grill to complete the cooking for another 3 - 4 minutes.
