2 cups beans - navy
soaked overnight
1/3 cup of molasses
1/3 cup of sugar
¾ teaspoon of dry mustard
1/3 teaspoon of ginger
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Drain beans that have been soaking overnight and add more
cold water. Bring to boil for about 20
minutes, slow until beans start to get tender.
Drain.
Place beans in a baking dish and combine with other
ingredients. Cover with water (add more
as needed while cooking).
Bake at 325º - 350º for 3 - 4 hours. Remove cover at end of baking time.
