Melting Pot Beans

Recipe from Better Holmes & Gardens


cup onions - chopped

cup green bell peppers - chopped

pound fake burger

2 teaspoons chili powder

1 16-ounce can baked beans

3 cups elbow macaroni - cooked

2 cups sharp cheddar cheese

cup milk

teaspoon salt


In saucepan, cook onion and green pepper with chili until tender (using shortening if necessary). Add beans, fake burger, macaroni, cheese, milk, and salt. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole.


Bake at 400 for 30 minutes or until hot; stir. Garnish with green pepper rings if desired.
