Quaker Recipe
1 cup of butter softened (2 sticks)
1 cup of brown sugar firmly packed
½ cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1½ cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
3 cups Quaker Oats
1 cup of raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts
Heat oven to 350º.
Beat together butter and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon
and salt; mix well. Stir in oats,
raisins and walnuts; mix well.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto un-greased cookie
sheet. Bake 10 - 12 minutes or until
golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie
sheet; remove to wire rack.
