Serves: 48
1 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup chunky peanut butter
2 tablespoons milk
48 Hershey chocolate kisses
½ cup sugar
½ cup vegetable shortening
1 egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
In a large mixer bowl, stir the all-purpose flour, baking
soda and salt together. Add all of the remaining
ingredients except chocolate kisses and mix at the medium speed of an electric
mixer until well combined, scraping the bowl occasionally. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375º.
Roll small amounts of dough into 1-inch balls. Place on an un-greased cookie sheet and bake for 12 minutes or
until they turn a light brown color.
Remove from oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center
of each cookie (the cookie will crack around the edge). Repeat with the remaining dough.
