Pumpkin Nut Bread (Gift Size)

2 cups flour                                                   

2 teaspoons baking powder                                      

½ teaspoon baking soda                                       

1 teaspoon of salt                                                

1 teaspoon of cinnamon                                            

½ teaspoon of nutmeg                                             

1 cup Libby's Solid Pack Pumpkin                               

1 cup of sugar                                                    

½ cup milk                                                   

2 eggs                                                          

¼ cup butter                                                 

1 cup of walnuts chopped                                          

 

Preheat oven to 350º.  Sift first 6 ingredients together.  Combine pumpkin, sugar, milk, and eggs in bowl.  Add dry ingredients and butter, mixing only until flour is moistened.  Stir in nuts.  Divide evenly in 2 well greased 7 1/2" x 3 3/4" x 2 1/4" loaf pans.

 

Bake 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.  Cool 10 min.; remove from pan.  Makes 2 loaves.
